Come along and sing some great songs at BMCDS Voices!
We focus on well-known songs from the world of musicals and film and are open to all singers aged 16+ of any ability. Our group is made up of soprano, alto, tenor and baritone singers of a wide age group and mixed abilities. Some of us are experienced performers and some are just complete amateurs who like to sing.
We aim to include harmonies but there is no need to be able to read music and there are no auditions: the main aim is to have fun singing the songs and brighten up Wednesday evenings! Want to just sing the tune? That’s fine too! A bit of practice between sessions goes a long way, but there is no pressure!
Several times a year we have an open/social evening for friends and family to come and hear us and may sing at fundraising events for local charities – but there is no pressure to perform!
Teenagers accompanied by a responsible adult member are also welcome.
Sessions are led by our Musical Director, Jo Pelling, timings are 7.15pm for 7.30pm start. At The Venue, Barnstaple Unit 2, Riverview Commercial Centre, Riverside Road, Pottington, Barnstaple. EX31 1QN
Cost per session is £5 payable half termly, half price for under 16s. Taster session is free!
